    Product Description

The Mammut Barryvox S2 is a professional-grade 3-antenna digital avalanche transceiver built for backcountry skiers, ski tourers, and mountaineers who demand the highest level of reliability in avalanche rescue situations. With a maximum search range of 70m, Auto-Select for multiple burials, and Deep Burial Mode that triggers fine search at depths beyond 3m, the Barryvox S2 delivers fast, precise signal acquisition when it matters most. An additional Bluetooth channel enables vital data detection from buried subjects, helping rescuers prioritise triage decisions and focus resources on those with the best chance of survival. The Barryvox S2 sets itself apart with advanced Pro Search settings that combine digital direction and distance display with analog tone guidance, plus a scrolling and selection function capable of managing up to 16 buried subjects simultaneously — a level of multi-burial control unmatched in its class.

    Features
    • 70m maximum search range — one of the widest on the market, reducing time to first signal in avalanche terrain
    • Auto-Select and Marking function for multiple burials — guides rescuers to the strongest signal first, then allows individual burials to be selected, marked and prioritised
    • Deep Burial Mode — automatically initiates fine search phase at depths greater than 3m for precise guidance to deeply buried subjects
    • Bluetooth vital data detection — transmits physiological data from buried subjects to help rescuers make informed triage decisions in multi-burial scenarios
    • Pro Search settings — combines digital direction and distance display with analog tone, plus access to alternative search mode and scrolling overview of up to 16 burials
    • Interference Guard — actively manages and reduces signal interference in both transmit and search modes, with on-screen indication when interference is detected
    • Automatic self-test on power-up — checks transmit and search signal, performs regular battery tests, and includes Group Check to verify other transceivers in the party
    • Dimensions: 115mm x 68mm x 21mm — battery life up to 450 hours (alkaline) or 550 hours (lithium) in SEND mode using 2 x AAA batteries
