    Product Description

The Mammut Probe 280 Speed Lock is an avalanche rescue probe built for backcountry skiers and ski tourers who need rapid, reliable deployment in emergency conditions. The Speed Lock tensioning system allows each segment to be individually locked into place in seconds, while a durable tensile cord maintains maximum probe stability throughout use. At 280 cm extended length, the Probe 280 Speed Lock reaches deeper burial depths than shorter probes, and its drop-shaped tip reduces resistance through compacted snow for less physical effort during repeated probing. UIAA standard 157 certified, it includes a probe cover with an integrated emergency plan, making it a complete and practical tool for any avalanche rescue kit.

    Features
    • Speed Lock tensioning system allows fast, individually lockable segment assembly so you can deploy the probe in critical seconds
    • Durable tensile tensioning cord holds segments rigid under repeated probing force, maintaining accuracy throughout a rescue
    • Aluminium probe segments deliver a stable and lightweight construction that reduces fatigue during extended use
    • Drop-shaped probe tip penetrates compacted snow with less resistance, reducing the energy required for repeated strikes
    • Precisely marked scaling on both sides of the probe lets you accurately read burial depth from either hand position
    • Compatible with gloved hands so you can operate it without removing hand protection in cold conditions
    • Probe cover includes an integrated emergency plan for on-site reference during a rescue scenario
    • Extended length: 280 cm | Collapsed length: 45 cm | Diameter: 12.75 mm | Weight: 310 g | Certification: UIAA 157
