  • Stay Ski Fit in Lockdown

    August 16, 2020 2 min read

Staying home is no excuse to get out of the snow zone.

Whilst we may not be hitting the slopes this 2020 winter, there’s no reason to let your ski legs go to jelly. Whilst we do our bit and stay at home, we can also do our bit to improve our strength and form and make sure our ski legs are strong and ready for the green light.

There are so many workouts online, too many if you ask us. Sometimes it feels overwhelming trying to find the right option, mindlessly scrolling through pages and pages of YouTube videos, promising to keep you lean and toned indoors this winter.

But, lucky for you, we have done the hard work for you! Below is (in our opinion) the best compilation of workouts to get you snow ready from the comfort of your loungeroom!

    How to Train for Skiing

Check out www.whatsyourz.com.au for an easy to navigate and complete compilation of workouts for whichever sport you choose. Our favourite, the REI How to Train for Skiing video.

    Yoga for Skiers

If lower intensity is more up your alley, check out this Yoga for Skiers class from Five Parks Yoga. It’s a slow burn but, trust us, you’ll feel it!

    28 Minute Snowboarder Workout

For the snowboarders out there – this workout from Fitness Blender has expertly tailored a workout just for you.

    Freeride Skiing at Home

Last but not least, or if working out is not so much your style, check out this awesome video from Philipp Klein who’s ski trip cancellation wasn’t going to stop him from living out his winter dreams

Keep Your Mind in the Zone

Another great way to keep yourself ski fit during lockdown is to keep your mind in the zone; follow this link to the best binge-worthy snow movies to take your mind to the mountains from your living room.
