    For the first time ever, Auski are undertaking two hosted groups to Myoko Japan departing 16 February 2025. This will be with our travel specialists Travel Utopia who have over twenty years of experience in snow and this region.

This gives you the perfect opportunity to acclimatise; after long-haul travel, soak in the sights, and ease into the rhythm of your adventure.     Your journey to Myoko begins with one of Japan's legendary travel experiences—the Shinkansen bullet train. From Tokyo Station, you'll glide through scenic landscapes at high speed, reaching Nagano in comfort and style. The efficiency and precision of this iconic mode of transport are quintessentially Japanese, offering a unique cultural experience before you even hit the slopes. From Nagano, a private coach will take you through the picturesque countryside to Myoko, giving you time to settle in and absorb the beauty of the region. Together, these seamless transfers ensure a stress-free, unforgettable start and finish to your adventure.

    We’ve had the pleasure of staying in many places and the Akarian Hotel is up there with other benchmarks in this category. Great mix of contemporary traditional rooms in the heart of the Myoko village. Breakfast, bar and onsen all solid. Incredibly clean and the friendliest of staff. Two minutes walk to the chairlift, loads of restaurants, bars & onsend around you. To top this off, this place has an ideal balance of privacy and social interaction and the hosts and owners are amazing. You will feel at home here, no doubt about it. Rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding on mattresses. Heating facilities are provided in each room. Japanese Yukata robes and towels are provided for all guests. Bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets are shared. Snowboard & Ski storage is also available. Happy hour every day with the first drink on the house!

You’ll have more fun exploring the whole mountain with our hosts if you are an Intermediate level 3 and above. Intermediate (Level 3): Perfect your turns and carve with confidence. On powder days, we'll introduce you to the thrill of your first powder runs. Strong Intermediate (Level 4): Explore wide-open powder and tree runs at Ikenotaira, Madarao & Nozawa Onsen. Try out the
    freestyle park at Suginohara if you're feeling adventurous. Advanced (Level 5) & Expert (Level 6): Challenge yourself with steeper tree runs at Suginohara, Seki, and Madarao, guided by our experienced team.

They are a member of ATAS (Australian Travel Accreditation Scheme) which means that ATAS-accredited travel agents have experience you can trust. They are accredited through the peak industry body, the Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA). Outside of being a specialist, we trust their professional advise and guidance and if anything was to go wrong, they are our number one travel advocate. All ATAS travel agents and tour operators are bound by the Code of Conduct which includes compliance and specific mandates relating to customer complaint handling processes.

    Pricing & Bookings.

    There are only two groups. Spaces are limited to 12 per group plus a host and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Pricing is based on twin-shared rooms however single, triple and quad share prices are available.

    • Travel Insurance is mandatory. Travel Utopia can quote you
      on travel insurance if you need to buy it through them.

    • Inside 90 days (loss of deposit): $1,000 deposit per person.
    • Inside 60 days: 50% of tour cost.
    • Inside 30 days: 100% cancelation fee. No refund.

    Please read the following very carefully. You must not accept a booking unless you understand and agree with the following terms and conditions:

    ABOUT US: Travel Utopia Pty Ltd acts as a travel agent only. We sell various travel related products on behalf of numerous transport,accommodation and other wholesale service providers, such as airlines, coach, rail and cruise line operators. Travel Utopia Pty Ltd's obligation is to make travel bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and travel service providers. We have no responsibility for these services nor do we make or give any warranty or representation regarding their standard.

    PRICES: Prices are subject to change & availability until paid in full. Travel Utopia Pty Ltd acts as an agent to purchase travel arrangements on your behalf and has no control over price changes.
     
    TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel insurance is strongly recommended by Travel Utopia Pty Ltd for any and all travel. Please ask your consultant if you require further information or a quote on travel insurance for your journey.
     
    TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Travel documents include (without limitation) airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other document (whether in electronic form or otherwise) used to confirm an arrangement with a service provider. Travel documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions including (without limitation) being non-refundable, non-date changeable, non transferable and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo ID holder, some carriers will deny carriage if the name varies from your passport/ID. It is your responsibility to collect & check all travel documents prior to travel.
     
    VISAS: For entry into most countries your passport must be valid at least six months from the date of return to Australia. It is the responsibility of the traveller to ensure all visa requirements have been met for the destinations you are travelling to. For information on what visas are needed for your trip, visit www.smartraveller.gov.au
     
    HEALTH: It is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of any health requirements for your travel destinations and to ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. We cannot provide medical advice.
     
    TAXES: Certain taxes are mandatory in various countries. There may also be additional local taxes charged at some airports. All taxes are subject to change without notice. Travel Utopia Pty Ltd only collect ticketable, or pre-paid taxes.
     

    CANCELLATION FEES: We are unable to provide a refund to you until we receive the funds from the relevant supplier. Cancelled bookings will incur charges. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether travel has commenced. Fees will also apply where a booking is changed or tickets re-issued. Cancellation Fees for this itinerary includes:

    Inside 90 Days of Departure = Loss of Deposit ($1,000 per person), Inside 60 days prior to departure = 50% Cancellation Fee, Inside 30 Days of Departure = 100% Cancellation Fee.

    All bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by these service providers. If for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against the provider, and not with Travel Utopia Pty Ltd.

    LIABILITY: We do not accept any liability of whatever nature, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control. Under circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the purchased travel arrangements. We do not accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part.
     

    CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS: Credit card surcharges may apply when paying by credit card. If for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against that provider, and not against Travel Utopia Pty Ltd. In the event that payment has been made to Travel Utopia Pty Ltd by credit card, you agree that you will not seek to charge back your payment to Travel Utopia Pty Ltd.

    DEPT. of FOREIGN AFFAIRS & TRADE WARNINGS: For reasons of political unrest, acts of war, terrorism or natural disasters in certain parts of the world, the Australian Govt. in conjunction with various other worldwide bodies may decide to issue a Govt. Advisory warning to Australian passport holders not to travel to that country. In these instances whilst travel to some countries is not advisable and some clauses of the travel insurance coverage may not be affective we appreciate that some clients may still need to travel to those areas. Whilst we are prepared to make these bookings on our clients' behalf we do so without responsibility or liability. You may wish to check with the Dept. of Foreign Affairs for further advice. Australian travelers can log onto www.orao.dfat.gov.au to register passport numbers and overseas contacts. These details are automatically passed on to the relevant overseas Embassies.
     
    PRIVACY: Travel Utopia Pty Ltd collects your personal information to enable us to provide you with travel products and services, including assisting in arrangements with suppliers (such as hotels and airlines). We will also use your personal information to personalise the service we provide you, including your experience on our and other websites, and provide you with information about our and our partners' products and services. Your information may be shared between entities within the helloworld group and disclosed to suppliers, third party travel service providers, our website manager, our contractors and others where authorised or required by law. For further information, including how you can request to access and correct your personal information and complain about a breach of your privacy, please see our privacy policy at www.helloworldlimited.com.au. You acknowledge and agree that we may disclose some or all of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. The terms of our Privacy Policy are incorporated into these terms.
     
    ACCEPTANCE: Upon paying for a booking you confirm that all booking details are correct including dates, times, destinations, and names as they appear on passports, and accept the booking terms and conditions.

    • Payment by direct deposit into our bank account avoids credit card fees.
    • For Osko or Pay ID payments use our ABN 27110877168. Please use your surname as the reference and email a copy of the payment to info@travelutopia.com.au so we can allocate the funds to your booking.
